The Court of Arbitration for Sport has reinstated a one-year ban against a Dutch speed skater who tested positive for steroids at the age of 15.

**Source: [*Wesley Lommers was found to have a “significant” level of nandrolone when he was tested at the national junior championships in 2009.

His initial one-year ban was overturned by the Dutch national skating federation (KNSB) on a technicality after an appeal panel decided the doping laboratory had supplied insufficient paperwork.

The KNSB and the doping authority then took the case to the CAS, who backed the original ban of one year with an additional year’s probation.

Lommers was also ordered to pay the costs of the case and a sum of 3000 Swiss francs each to the KNSB and the doping authority.

Lommers has served the ban in the meantime and returned to competition. http://www.nieuwsbank.nl/inp/2011/08/23/V047.htm]**
